What does it take to become an ALCP Priest?

Many Benefactors have asked how many years it will take for my seminarian to be ordained to the Priesthood. The answer: It takes eight years to become an ALCP Priest. (Annual cost of $3100)

Year One

Formation house training on the ALCP history and spirituality.

ALCP Relationship period.

Years Two &Three

Seminarian educated

in senior seminary on Philosophy.

Year Four

Seminarian spendstime in formation house performing pastoral work in

parishes. The candidates then attend a special Mass where they

are given the constitution of the order-three evangelical councils:

Poverty, chastity, and obedience. This is a major decision period

on their journey to continue with the ALCP.

Years Five – Eight

Education continues in Senior and Major Seminaries learning

Theology. During this time they will be assigned to a parish.

After three and half years they become ordained a deacon and after another six months, with the grace of God, they are ordained an ALCP priest!

Please remember to pray for your seminarian through his journey to Priesthood. Daily, your seminarian is praying for you, his special benefactor. When your seminarian is an ordained Catholic Priest you will be remembered at every Holy Catholic mass he celebrates! Here are some of the seminarians currently being supported by faithful Catholics, just like you, through donations to Worldwide Seminarian Support. Below you will find some information about these seminarians being funded by WSS.
